Nowadays, star-worshiping is popular among teenagers, especially many university students.
Why? When it comes to the symptoms of worshiping a star, the main factor I’d like to mention is imitation. With a blind love for their idols, teenagers firmly believe that their choices are the best. As a result, the stars’ clothes, hairstyles and hobbies, as well as their behaviors in public, are closely observed or followed, though, to some extent, they may be considered improper or even ridiculous.
In my opinion, having idols is not a bad thing. However, we should make it clear who are the real “heroes”. As far as I am concerned, the real heroes are those who are making the most contributions to our society, such as teachers, doctors and scientists. As students, we should learn from them. Only in this way can we become useful persons in the future.

As my high school years were drawing to a close， I turned over and over again in my mind the question of whether I should go to college. At times I did have some doubts. After careful consideration， however， I finally decided it was worthwhile to attend college.
Firstly， because I was always hungry for knowledge and keen on learning. While in high school， I became more and more interested in such subjects as math， physics， and chemistry. I longed to explore much further into those areas.
Secondly， because I knew a college education would provide me with opportunities for all round development. I would play in musical groups， take part in sports， and join campus organizations. Involvement in various kinds of activities could help make me a well rounded person.
Finally， I was aware that in today＇s world many professions require years of specialized trainning. Without a college education， it would be difficult for me to obtain a desirable position.
Now I＇m here at college and I seem to have more reasons to congratulate myself on my right decision.

Short-term goals involve outcomes expected during the next 12 months. These goals are more performance oriented, and they help with achievement of intermediate goals. Examples of short-term goals are earning an A in a course, learning how to program a computer or performing an experiment.

Going through my past, I could see my perseverance was not inherited from my parents whom obviously different from me on this point, and I remember when I was young I never put my heart into one thing for a long time, today did this, tomorrow that, can’t have got one thing satisfied, so I was the useless one in the other’s eyes.
When I was in high school, I was appointed as the leader of sports in our class. In fact, I did not know why I would be a leader of sports since I did not have sports strength. At the first year our school held an annual sports meeting, I joined it, actually I did not want to, but no choice, because I was a leader, and I chose the 3000m racing. Unfortunately, I won the last one, oh, my god, my face lost up, so sorry I felt. After that I made a resolution to practice it, every morning at 5 o’clock, I got up to run, just like this did it every day, no matter raining or snowing, I never gave it up. No pain no gain! This saying was totally right. I won the three successive championships of 3000m racing at our school sports meeting. I was so proud of myself. And more importantly, seeing it now is that my character had been changed, but that time I did not realize it, just did I knew when I chose something I would struggle to perform it till it was accomplished.
Now I chose to improve English, I never worry about the result, I just knew learning a language need a long time, so I do it everyday, and even I would have left GLV.

My Impression of University Life
How time flies! One month has passed before I could take any notice of it. This is the start of my freshman year in Fudan University. At the very beginning, everything and everyone is strange to me. But now, everyday and in everyway, I am getting better;I am getting used to it.
I would like to tell you two things in my university life that are of great importance and interest.
Freedom is what I am looking forward to since the very first day of my primary school. A lot of people said to me, "Study hard, and you will get freedom when in university." But when I really entered university, I find the real situation is dom costs me a lot. If I refuse to wash my clothes, for example, they will just lay there, unclean. In a word, I have to do everything and take care of myself. Well, it doesn‘t mean that I don‘t like the life style. On the contrary, I like it very much though it is hard at the beginning. It is really a challenge for me.
I appreciate a famous saying from Albert Camus, "Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better." That‘s right. Real freedom comes with responsibility. Some teenagers believe that freedom means doing whatever you like. But I think that is not real freedom at all. One can have his or her own freedom, while at the same time respect others‘. It is not easy to think on behalf of others. University life provides me with this precious chance to practice it.
Another thing I want to mention is love. Love in the university is different from other places. In my secondary school, love among students are strictly forbidden. But since it is human nature to desire for something that is not allowed, there are still some some lovebirds flying around us. Parents and teachers are unwilling to see it happen. They make great efforts to stop these birds flying. I still remember two of my friends who were threatened to leave school by my teachers finally had to end their puppy love, though unwillingly.
But now, something interesting in Fudan is that love exists everywhere. For instance, the first lesson of my English class is about love. A small play in the Yingxin (Freshmen Welcome Party) called "Turn Left and Turn Right" is about students love in Fudan. Some of my roommates have boyfriends. At night,while lying in bed, we always share their love stories. What‘s more, even our instructor once said, "In our department, girls are more than boys. So we will have a party with the Chemistry Department, the situation in which is just the opposite. I was surprised about the attitude towards love here. Is our instructor encouraging us to find someone to fall in love with? I cannot understand it quite well.
What I mentioned above are the two things impressed me most at the very beginning of my freshmen year. They are surely my first impression, and I am sure with the process of my university life I will get more out of it.

Old Zhao is our common sister. She is very kind and considerate. She takes full responsibility of our dormitory. If sorne of us catch a cold, she will take good care of her. Whenever we are in trouble, we turn to her.
Young Zhao is a quiet girl. If there is a chat among us, she is always the one who says little but listens attentively. She has the admirable ability to do well in all kinds of examinations. We all agree that she is the example that we should learn from in studies.
Lily is just the opposite of Young Zhao. She is very talkative. We enjoy her cornpany because she has the sense of humor, which rnakes her talk extremely interesting. Where there is Lily, there is laughter.
Such are my three roommates. In spite of our different characters, we get on well with each other. Our dormitory has become our common home.
