先觀察下面幾組詞彙：
tall taller
short shorter
big bigger
important more important
obvious more obvious
大家從上面能發現什麼規律呢?
1.形容詞的比較級一般是在原型後加-er, 比如高tall, 更高taller
2.像big這樣的重讀閉音節，變成比較級時必須先雙寫最後一個字母再加er
3.像important, obvious這樣的多音節詞，其比較級是在單詞前加more, 比如明顯的obvious, 更明顯的more obvious.
注意：比較級一般是兩者之間的比較，也可是同一事物不同時期的比較，但若涉及三者或三者以上的`比較，則要用最高階。
1. She is becoming more and more beautiful. 她變得越來越漂亮了。
2. He is getting taller and taller. 他變得越來越高了。
3. He is older than me. 他比我大。
4. He is much older than me. 他比我大多了。
5. Our school is two times larger than theirs. 我們的學校比她們的學校大兩倍。
