1, 相似排除
考官在設定考點時，故意將音訊中部分原詞放到選項中，並且往往跟在題幹關鍵後出現，引誘考生出錯。然後把正確選項同義(近義)改寫成音訊中的內容。
例如:
-Why has James chosen to do a case study on the company Furniture Rossi?
A. It has enjoyed global success
B. It is still in a development phase
C. It is an example of a foreign company being rebranded for Australia.
音訊‘Furniture Rossi is an Australian company, got plans to expand into foreign markets…’雖然音訊中出現了選項c中的部分原詞，但是表達的句義與c選項並不相同;‘aiming to build a global brand…’,出現A選項原詞，句義不符。答案句 ‘it is gong through a transition…’,transition與development phase構成替換。

2, 時態排除
通過觀察不難發現，一般情況下，選擇題所考察的時態均為一般現在時，偶爾考察過去或者將來時時，題幹上會有明確的時態標示詞。既然常考察一般現在時，那麼音訊中描述過去或者將來的內容則為干擾資訊。
常見過去時路標詞:was/were, V+ed…thought, use to, in the past…
常見將來時路標詞:plan/intend to do sth, thinking to, aiming to, next time…
例如:

3, 並列排除
這一方法是在解答聽力單選題中最好用的方法。即一般情況下，在三個選項中，如果其中有兩個選項由and或者or連線，那麼這兩個選項一般均不是答案。
例如:

B. The cost of the project
C. The size of the facilities
音訊‘also, just in case you were wondering, we’re on schedule for June 15th opening date and well within budget…’其中on schedule對應A選項，within budget對應B選項，兩句由and連線，可知答案為C。
