1、語言表達要簡潔

避免使用太多的專業術語和過分複雜的句子。一方面用人單位不會在一份簡歷上花費太多的時間;另外一個方面,簡潔的語言表述也能夠讓面試官快速閱讀你的簡歷

 2、明確應聘崗位資訊和招聘渠道

在求職信的標題應該明確地告訴對方所要應聘職位的名稱以及在哪裡獲取的招聘資訊,例如Your advertisement for (職位名稱)a Network Maintenance Engineer in (媒體名稱)the April 10 Student Daily interested me。這樣有助於對方瞭解招聘資訊的有效傳播途徑

3、語言客觀實際

英文求職信中應避免自己的主觀判斷性的語言和評論性的話語,不要過分渲染自我,尤其不要說出與事實不符的能力或特性來。可以在自己的簡歷當中用客觀的`數字和引述別人的話語來描述自己的實際情況。

4、重視開頭、結尾

在求職信的結尾,我們通常要提及關於希望得到面試的事情,因此,結尾很重要,在表達自己的這樣的意願的時候,切忌軟弱、羞怯的表達方式,例如:If you think I can fill the position after you have read my letter, I shall be glad to talk with you。

 5、表現個人特色。

求職的信要具個人特色、親切且能體現出專業水平。切不可過於隨意,也不能拘泥於格式,句子結構和長度應富於變化,使閱信人總保持興趣。內容、語氣、用詞的選擇和對希望的表達要積極,應該充分顯示出你是一個樂觀、有責任心、有創造力和通情達理的人。

另外,細節問題很重要,比如紙張的選用,一般採用品質優良的A4列印紙,正文用印表機打印出來。信件的結尾處簽名必須是自己的手寫簽名。
